The story behind why I’m a designer…
Before working at Indeed as a UX Designer, I honed my skills at Oracle, also as a UX Designer. My academic journey took me to the University of California, Davis, where I studied ethnography, human-centered design, fashion design, and communication.
Growing up, I was always the curious kid, eager to understand why things are the way they are. I wanted to know how cars were built, how tornadoes work, and why people behave as they do. With each discovery, my enthusiasm and curiosity grew. I soon realized that everything around me was designed, from cars and governments to schools and digital applications. This understanding led me to recognize that to change anything, I needed to understand people and advocate for their needs, particularly those of marginalized communities. This realization is what inspired me to become a designer.
